About the event

There are lots of ways you make yourself feel better and some can be simple, change how feel by changing what you do... The things you eat, who you talk to, and how much you sleep can all make a huge impact on your life. You can start simply enough just getting out for a walk, double the positive impact by going with a friend.

For more tips on how what you eat and what you do can have a positive effect on your mental health

This afternoon stroll is to encourage conversation without judgment. A safe place to have a chat, a walk and meet new people.

Walk and talk is for all men, regardless of age, race, sexual orientation, financial or educational status.

The group's intention is to help remove the stigma of mental health in men, to help to reduce the steady increase in male suicides, and provide a safe place meant to talk, share, and get advice without judgment.

Walk and talk is an opportunity to get out of the house, take a walk and have a chat; or not, you can just enjoy the scenery.

You don’t have to be depressed or mentally ill; you can talk or just listen, you can share, and you can support, or you can just walk. Whatever you want to do, whoever you are, and whatever you like to do, no one here cares about anything other than making sure you don’t feel alone or feel like nothing is worth it.

Walk and talk is free. Come along, take a walk, have a coffee and feel better. You'll need to put at least 2 hours on your parking ticket!
