About the event
There are many ways you make yourself feel better, and some can be simple, change how you feel by changing what you do... The things you eat, who you talk to, and how much you sleep can all significantly impact your life. You can start simply enough by just getting out for a walk, and you can double the positive impact of your walk by going with a friend, or meeting some new friends!
For more tips on how what you eat and what you do can have a positive effect on your mental health, click here; Men Only Help and Advice
The purpose of the Walk & Talk group is to provide a safe place for men to talk, share, and get advice without judgment. It's an opportunity to get out of the house, get some fresh air and have a chat, meet some new and interesting people. Or you can just have a walk and enjoy the scenery.
You don't have to be depressed or mentally ill. You can talk or just listen, you can share, and you can support, or you can just walk.
We are here to listen, offer support, or just be some company, all in a safe and non-judgmental way.
Walk & Talk is free; you just need to come along, take a walk. Maybe stay for a brew afterwards.
We meet up in Puckpool car park, right at the entrance to the park at 1 pm during the winter. A walk along to Seaview and back to the cafe in Puckpool. If the weather is really windy, we can walk around Appley Park, and if it's awful weather, we can just go and sit in the Old Barracks Café and have a chat!
Dogs are very welcome!
