Volunteer Role: Social Media Genius

Role Overview:

Are you passionate about social media and storytelling? Do you want to help shape the online presence of a vital community organisation? We’re looking for a creative and committed volunteer to manage and grow Men Only IOW’s digital presence across social media platforms. Your work will play a key role in raising awareness, engaging our community, and promoting our services.

Key Responsibilities:

• Creating and scheduling engaging content for Facebook, Instagram, and Threads

• Writing compelling posts that highlight our services, events, and impact

• Engaging with our online community by responding to comments and messages

• Monitoring insights and analytics to improve reach and engagement

• Suggesting new and innovative ways to connect with our audience

• Ensuring all content aligns with Men Only IOW’s values and mission

Skills & Experience:

• A strong understanding of social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, Threads)

• Experience creating engaging written and visual content

• Basic graphic design skills (Canva, Photoshop, or similar tools are a plus)

• Ability to work independently and stay consistent with posting

• Good communication skills and an understanding of Men Only IOW’s mission

• Experience with scheduling tools (e.g. Meta Business Suite) is a bonus

Location: Remote or at Rodger & Steve’s Place, 134 High Street Ryde, PO33 2RJ Hours: Flexible, but we require a strong commitment Commitment: Minimum of 6 hours per week
